Coastal Cowboys Families,

First and foremost we would like to congratulate and recognize the 2023 teams that represented our league in postseason adventures and even a trip down to Orlando for Nationals last week!

Special Ops – Pee Wee Cheer Team, led by Head Coach Ashli Barefoot, brought home the organization’s 3rd National Championship Title and the 12th top 3 finish!! These girls competed in Pee Wee Level 1 Small division, HIT ZERO, had the highest scoring routine out of 39 teams and came home the BEST in the country!

Division 1 – 10U Football Team, led by Head Coach Tommy Bowker, came home second in the Nation and will go down in history as the FIRST EVER Coastal Cowboys, Coastal Pop Warner AND Mid South Region football team to participate in a Pop Warner Super Bowl Championship game!

Mini Ops – Mitey Mite Cheer Team, led by Head Coach Blythe Bowker, fell short placing in the Mitey Mite Level 1 Medium division but they HIT ZERO and left it all on the mat with a fierce performance!

Division 2 – 9U Football Team, led by Head Coach Brandon Johnston, fought hard but finished out their season in the second round of regionals with a tough loss in Virginia. These boys showed grit and perseverance all the way to end!

What an incredible season to be a Coastal Cowboy! Congratulations to the athletes, coaches, parents, volunteers and THE BEST (AND LOUDEST) FANS IN YOUTH FOOTBALL! It truly takes a village and none of our children would have been afforded the opportunities or life experiences this season without the hard work, dedication and genuine love for the kids that the members of this organization embody 💙 We are SO PROUD OF YOU 💙

We would also like to take this opportunity to recognize and thank Ian Holiday for his service to our organization and most importantly to our kids. Ian dedicated 20 YEARS of his life to Coaching and leading our football program as Commissioner before making the extremely hard decision to take a step back and focus on a new chapter in his life. We are unbelievably grateful for the tireless efforts and leadership that Coach Ian provided to all of us. We will miss his endless knowledge, calm and cool demeanor and questionable grilling skills BUT he has assured us he will continue to be a presence within our Coastal family! Please join us in wishing Coach Ian good luck on his next adventure!

We are excited to announce to you the results of the 2024 Board of Director election. This election generated the greatest participation our Organization has seen in years – we had 23 great nominees who all contribute to our Organization in various ways – 85 votes were cast, almost 60% participation from our membership! (By way of comparison, less than 20 votes were cast in the 2023 Board election).

Congratulations to our 2024 Board of Directors and newly elected Officers! This group has already hit the ground running and is full of fresh new ideas and perspectives focused on growth, future sustainability and unity for this organization 💙

There will be tons of information coming in the weeks ahead regarding the annual meeting, 2024 season planning and events as well as LOTS of opportunities to get involved with various committees that will be formed to focus on specific areas of need.
